It’s been said that “home” isn’t a place, but a feeling. No one understands this better than architect Harry Gandy Howle, who for 40 years has designed homes that not only meet his clients’ design requirements but also fulfill their emotional desires.
“People come to us with a dream, an inspiration, and it is our joy to help them realize it,” says Howle, whose multidisciplined firm based in Vero Beach, Florida, provides uncompromising quality of design, execution of documents, and representation of the client’s vision and desired lifestyle. “We pride ourselves on the level of attention we give to each job,” he says. “Residential architecture should fulfill a homeowner’s dream, while at the same time respecting the purest precepts of its chosen vernacular.” The fi rm engages in a variety of architectural styles, determined by a client’s taste, and can understand, plan, and oversee all a project’s details, including architecture, landscape architecture, and interior design. Howle works with clients—many of them repeat—from across the country and could be based anywhere but chose Florida.
“Living and working in Vero Beach is, simply put, paradise,” he says. “Having someone entrust you with their dreams is a huge compliment.
Having them come back with another project is part of the joy of the job. I couldn’t see myself doing anything else.”
