For generations, Cleveland Clinic Indian River Hospital has been the cornerstone of health and wellness across Indian River County. As part of Cleveland Clinic and its five-hospital system in Florida, the 332-bed tertiary care hospital serves the Treasure Coast with a wide range of services, including heart and vascular care at the Welsh Heart Center, cancer care at the Scully-Welsh Cancer Center, neurosciences, orthopedics, women’s health, stroke care and emergency medicine.
Cleveland Clinic Indian River Hospital is the largest employer in Indian River County with more than 2,600 caregivers and physicians. It has also contributed millions of dollars to the community and supports educational partnerships, workforce development programs and local nonprofits.
Richard Rothman, MD, Vice President and Chief Medical Officer, has a deep connection to the hospital and the community. More than a decade ago, Dr. Rothman began practicing internal medicine at Indian River Medical Center and later assumed regional senior leadership roles after the hospital joined Cleveland Clinic. Dr. Rothman also co-founded Hospital Care At HomeSM, which provides acute-level care in patients’ homes.
Dedicated to excellence, compassion and innovation, Cleveland Clinic Indian River Hospital is proud to help build a healthier future for Indian River County and the Treasure Coast.
