Gallery 14 is delighted to open its 19th season with a dual exhibition of works by Florida artists. “Land, Sea, and Sky: Hand Cut Linoleum Prints by John H.C. Davis” and “Degrees of Saturation: Paintings by Vicki Morrison” will run through the end of the month. As a true artisan, Davis designs each print, cuts the image, and hand-pulls each image using black printing ink. After each one dries, he paints it. Morrison is heavily influenced by her Vero Beach surroundings. Her mixed-media process of adding and subtracting achieves just the right balance of texture, color, and line. A reception will take place during the Gallery Stroll Friday, October 2 from 5 to 8 p.m.

“Collected Moments”

October 9 to November 7

UK native Edward Noott is in the spotlight this month at J.M. Stringer Gallery. His initial art studies took place in England, and then he earned his bachelor’s degree at the State University of New York at Oneonta. Noott finds satisfaction in creating a feeling of harmony and optimism with his paintings, a process that entails “technical and emotional battles.” He depicts and personalizes beautiful, inspiring places using the “painterly qualities of tone and color” to interpret “the subtleties and nuances of time and place.”
