Our section of the Treasure Coast is filled with hidden treasures that can take you by surprise. Sometimes the surprise is the restaurant’s location; sometimes it’s the quality of the food; sometimes it’s an out-of-character ambiance that elicits a gasp of pleasure or a chortle of glee. All the more fun because you don’t expect it. Here are a few of my favorite surprises. These places aren’t exactly weird (well, in truth, some are) but they’re not run-of-the-mill, either. Fun, funky, fluke-y, too. But never boring.
