Astronaut, test pilot, inventor, poet, one-time Congressional candidate and frequent golfer, Al Worden has literally been to the moon and back. Today, he chooses to make his home in Vero Beach.
Colonel Worden, USAF (Ret.) was the command module pilot for Apollo 15 and is currently working on a confidential space training project. He is also in the process of designing and building a house in Orchid Island and improving his golf game. The biggest challenge of his “retirement,” he says, is finding time to do all the things he wants to do.
