
After 11 years in Nashville, several Grammy and Country Music Award nominations and an upcoming album on DreamWorks Records, Vero Beach's own Scotty Emerick is on the fast track to stardom.
When Marcia Michael’s 19-year-old son, Scott Emerick, left Vero Beach with just $300 in his pocket and the phone number of a friend in Nashville, she thought he’d be back home within three months.
“A lot of people try to make it in the music industry and a lot of people don’t. It’s luck,” Michael says. “But Scott was determined to make it. And I’m so proud of him.”
It’s easy to understand why Michael is proud. After 11 years in Nashville, several Grammy and Country Music Award nominations and an upcoming album on DreamWorks Records, you could say that Scotty Emerick has made it.
