Sometimes in Vero Beach we get too much of a good thing – even when it's tennis, golf or strolling on the beach. Or at least we feel there's too much of a good thing. While no one is going to have much sympathy for our plight (try explaining it to someone who'se digging themselves out from a snow storm for the tenth time!), several friends and I recently discovered a great antidote when that feeling of ennui sweeps over you.
A day trip to Grand Bahama will perk you right up. It offers snorkeling, shopping, fishing, dancing, dining, gambling, all with an ever-so-slightly foreign flair. It's a mere 50 minutes away via charter flight from Vero Beach's municipal airport, making the trip just too good to resist. Frankly, we didn't even try.
