A year ago, if you had asked Bill Glavin what Habitat for Humanity was all about, he would have told you what most of us already know — that it’s a non-profit ecumenical Christian ministry dedicated to building decent, affordable homes for those in need. More than likely he’d also have added that he knew there was an affiliate right here in Indian River County.

Then Glavin received a phone call from Louis Hagopian, chairman of Habitat’s newly formed advisory board, asking if he would join the group and head up the Capital Campaign. Before saying yes, Glavin decided he had better take a good look at what Indian River Habitat for Humanity (IRHH) and the campaign were all about.
