The Legacy Continues

When Quail Valley’s 11-suite boutique lodge and restaurant open next year, there will be cause to celebrate. Designed to enhance the landscape and surrounding residential and commercial buildings, Quail Valley at the Pointe is the perfect complement to Quail Valley’s Golf and River Clubs.

One of the first things Kevin Given sees when he arrives at his office each day are architectural renderings of what Quail Valley at the Pointe will look like when it’s completed next year. Front and river elevation images of the 11-suite boutique lodge, restaurant, lounge and bar areas designed by Peacock & Lewis never fail to put a smile on his face.

The concrete-block structure with a wood and river-stone façade, concrete shingle-style tile roof and impact glass is not only up to hurricane standards, it evokes a sense of traditional permanence. To Given’s way of thinking, the Pointe is the perfect complement to Quail Valley’s Golf Club and River Club.

And he’s right. Yet a year ago Given and partner Steve Mulvey had almost given up on developing a third facility to serve the club’s 800 members. A growing waiting list had prompted a search for another facility on the barrier island, but nothing fit the bill until Given answered a question his partner posed.
