A few days after Christmas, Helmut Swarovski is relaxing in the courtyard of his year-old Windsor home, awash in the bright Vero Beach sunshine. Despite a lingering cold front, there is no sea breeze, the sun is brilliant, the courtyard is hot and the long languid leaves of the foxtail palms are glimmering and glistening like…well, like cut crystal. The soft-spoken, 56-year-old Austrian, casually dressed in a white polo shirt and blue jeans, is telling his wife Danna and their visitor about another Christmas long ago and far away.
