Vero Beach can boast of its own classical orchestra composed of more than 34 professional musicians who come here each season to play some of the most beautiful music ever written. Early music from Baroque through Modern can be heard from the stage of the First Baptist Church in Vero Beach in four concerts on January 11, February 8, March 8 and March 22. The four concerts are also performed on the following evening at the Lyric Theatre in Stuart.
Andrew McMullan, Music Director and Conductor of the Atlantic Classical Orchestra, founded the orchestra with a group of music lovers in 1991. It has since grown to become a highly acclaimed orchestra in Florida. Musicians travel from all over the state to perform with the ACO from January through March for the four-concert season.
