As a long-time volunteer with Keep Indian River Beautiful (KIRB), Vivian has plenty of empty tissue boxes to choose from at the Reuse/Recycle Center next to the non-profit organization’s headquarters in Sebastian.
“I found out about the Center years ago when I was working with a vacation Bible school and after-school programs that needed art supplies. Back then it was in Vero Beach and much smaller. I quickly became their best customer, so one day someone said, ‘Why don’t you come and volunteer?’” Vivian laughs at how she started helping out, sorting through items others no longer needed or wanted and arranging them on shelves by category.
