In the midst of the Second World War, in October 1943, members of the Indian River Garden Club voted to set aside $25 from their budget to plant an avenue of laurel oaks on Riverra Boulevard to honor the troops deployed in the war.
Looking to break into those ranks, 101 hopefuls descended upon the Jackie Robinson Training Complex, formerly Historic Dodgertown, at the beginning of the year.
The main goal of the renovation was to freshen, brighten and declutter the main lobby, and through the joint vision and efforts of building owner Don Proctor, interior designer Rod Mickley and Moorings sales broker Marsha Sherry, they have achieved it.
Under the direction of Michael Rechter and his company, Integra Corporations, heavy equipment and teams of workers descended, transforming the historic plant into the American Icon Brewery.
Although many Americans associate the bald eagle with Northern and Western locales, Florida is in fact an important location for the survival and prosperity of this iconic species.
