APRIL 17: More than 200 people attended Vero Sings for the Victims at the Waxlax Center for the Performing Arts at Saint Edward’s School. The concert raised money to assist victims of violent crimes and culminated with National Crime Victims’ Rights Week. Performers included Beth Shestak, Tania Ortega-Cowan, Eleanor Dixon, Edmund Nalzaro, Corey Pieffer, Gary Miller’s Chorus, Shamara Turner, country singers Ken Moore and Tammy Paoletti, the Ray Adams Band with Rich Mola and Dave Mundy, and ensembles from the John’s Island Chorus, Saint Edward’s Chorus and Doerfel’s Bluegrass Band.
