Chicago had its cows, Vero Beach has its turtles. From now until next spring an invasion of colorfully decorated six-foot fiberglass turtles will be popping up around town for the Mental Health Association’s Turtle Trax fundraising effort.

For those of us who have fond memories of the painted turtles which were sold at the circus and five and dime stores of yore, Turtle Trax isn’t so far-fetched.
