New Executive Director For Boys & Girls Clubs

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Indian River County recently named Elizabeth Thomason as its new executive director. She succeeds Ronnie Hewett who left the organization in June.

Elizabeth has worked with the Boys & Girls Clubs as director of development and marketing since March 2010.

Prior to joining the organization she was director of communications and marketing at Saint Edward’s School. In her new role, Elizabeth is responsible for the organization’s overall fundraising efforts and operations for the Vero Beach, Sebastian and Fellsmere clubs.

Elizabeth graduated from Arizona State University with a B.S. in Economics, and later she earned a B.S. in Nursing from Fairfield University and an M.A. in Strategic Communication & Leadership from Seton Hall University.

The Boys & Girls Clubs have served youth in Indian River County for over 10 years; they provide programs for more than 2,000 boys and girls each year in the area of drug and alcohol prevention, delinquency intervention, health and fitness, career exploration and educational enhancement.
