Gearing Up For 2019

The feeling around most Vero Beach area car dealers these days is pure electric. Not only is there a lot of energy and excitement about the new features and designs for the 2019 models that just hit the showrooms, but electric just may be the operative word. Many of the new models feature hybrid or electric motors.

Both Jaguar and Land Rover are rolling out new electric-powered vehicles — the first year that both brands will offer an electric model. BMW also has a hybrid among the new vehicles in its showrooms this fall. In addition, Porsche, which has produced one hybrid model for some time, is introducing a second hybrid option this fall, as the automaker prepares for its first all-electric model to be available early in 2019. Cadillac doesn’t have any new electric models this year, but sales representatives say they are expecting innovative developments in the electric engine arena in either the 2020 or 2021 models.

And, of course, Tesla, the automaker known for pioneering electric vehicles, continues to take orders for its new Model 3, which debuted this year.
