Ms. Senior Florida Pageant winner and author Betsy Ross Horn relaxes in the cloistered garden courtyard of her Vero Beach home.

Of all the interesting and talented people within its white fences, Windsor now boasts the holder of the Ms. Senior Florida title, Elizabeth Ross Horn.

On Saturday, April 21, Betsy competed with 19 other Floridians at a pageant held at the Vero Beach Performing Arts Center. Since then, she  has been busy meeting with Gov. Rick Scott, visiting hospitals and rest homes, where she has been addressing the nutritional needs and habits of the elderly, and using her skills as a certified teacher in Mind and Body Medicine.

In addition to winning the Ms. Senior Florida title, Betsy has recently published a book on her life and her bout with ovarian cancer.
