Empowering Digital Natives through the Education Foundation is in the pilot phase of the program throughout the school district. Sebastian River High School English teacher Kerri Wall has integrated students using their own smart phones (or a class computer if they don’t have a device) and her tablet in her daily lessons.
“Students are much more engaged in what I am teaching when they are using technology,” she says. “My favorite app is called Splashtop and I use it every day. It turns my tablet into an interactive whiteboard and the students can watch flash media and also draw, write and make corrections over any content.”
