Mardy and Jake: The Boys Are Back
Tennis pro Mardy Fish and country singer Jake Owen revisit their home town to raise money for local kids.
Boyhood buddies and Vero Beach favorites Mardy Fish and Jake Owen believe in giving back to the community. Five years ago the professional tennis player and country music artist launched a fundraising event that is providing additional programs and activities for children every year.
The Mardy Fish Foundation’s fundraising event has grown over the years and Tom Fish, Mardy’s father and foundation president, has been there every step of the way.
“We had a successful and enjoyable three years at The Boulevard; then, due to the event’s growth and the foundation’s vision, Grand Harbor Golf & Beach Club became the perfect home. The facilities, including the tennis club with Christophe Delavaut and full-service food and beverage with Andrew Carmack are magnificent,” says Tom. “We’ll continue to work as a team to make the event a success for the community and the children. Each year we’ve been fortunate to add a variety of programs and activities for the kids which further their academic and recreational learning.”
