C.R. “Randy” Buck works in three mediums and is renowned for his striking and vibrant sculptures.

It’s a good thing C.R. “Randy” Buck didn’t listen to his teachers when they tried to discourage him from pursuing his art. All through school, as he created vivid and technically true images, their continual refrain was “get a real job, a real life; stop playing a game.” If he had taken their advice, a notable talent would have been wasted.

So just who is Randy Buck and what kind of talent are we talking about? At present he is believed to be the only American marine artist who excels in three mediums. He designs a premier line of fine jewelry; he’s a painter (the first artist to be awarded the cover of a Congressional Report) and he has won numerous awards for his figurative and game fish sculptures. To get where he is took passion, perseverance and an undying belief in his own abilities.

However, the introspective Vero Beach resident is reluctant to talk about his work, deferring to others who can testify to his achievements.
