Back In The Saddle Again

It’s no secret that, with its multitude of bridle paths and lush countryside, Indian River County is a happy hunting ground for the “horsey set.” So where better to set our March review of local fashion finds than the equestrian centre at Windsor?

Although there has always been an odd attraction between horses and haute couture – think Churchill Downs and Ascot – photographing them might not seem the easiest of assignments, especially when fashion models are involved. But photographer Jill Douglas reports that, though a few of our “extras” bridled when first approached by the camera, they quickly reined themselves in and behaved with four-footed finesse throughout the shoot.
