So keep those vocal chords warmed for next month when the score and story will come alive on Riverside Theatre’s Stark Stage, with Nellie Forbush once again washing that man right outta her hair. Vero Beach is a town that loves its theatre. Ever since stage lights first shone on the Theatre Guild’s production of Tom Jones on Nov. 7, 1973, the community has enthusiastically embraced local theatrical efforts – so much so that today the Riverside Theatre, affiliated with the Actor’s Equity Association, the League of Resident Theatres, the Stage Directors & Choreographers Society and United Scenic Artists, is widely recognized as a cultural treasure throughout the state.
