VBMA’s Distinguished Professor Series

The Vero Beach Museum of Art, along with several major colleges and universities, presents The Distinguished Professor Series.
January 25: The series begins with The University of the South's Mishoe Brennecke, Ph. D., discussing Vision on the Mountain: Johannes A. Oertel and the University of the South.
February 1: Katherine Hauser, Ph.D., of Skidmore College, will speak about Just Looking?
February 8: Christopher L.C.E. Witcombe, Ph.D., of Sweet Briar College, speaks about Looking at Pictures: Art History and the Visual Experience.
February 22: Jessica F. Nicoll, M.A., of Smith College Museum of Arts, focuses on Digging Deep: George Bellows' Pennsylvania Excavation and the Transformation of American Art.
February 29: Richard Guy Wilson, Ph.D., of the University of Virginia, discusses Thomas Jefferson and the Design of the Academical Village.
March 7: James Mundy, Ph.D., of Vassar College, presents Building a University Art Collection in a New Millennium: Ten Ground Rules to Follow.
March 14: Finishing the series is Rachael Z. DeLue, Ph.D., of Princeton University, speaking about Arthur Dove's Meteorology: Painting the Weather and Learning to See.
