Artist Margaret Bragg poses in her airy and spacious studio in Vero Beach. The artist, whose paintings celebrate the beauties of nature, exudes a sunny and joyous disposition. In the background, a recent landscape, The Spirit of Provence, vibrates with jewel tones. A lone tree stands guard over fields of multi-colored lavender and the distant blue and purple mountains.

Margaret Bragg, a landscape and floral artist known for her vibrant and dazzling palette, celebrates nature’s bounty in her paintings.   She says, “From early on I wanted to portray the wonders and spiritual side of nature.”  

Margaret grew up in Greenwich, Conn., surrounded by flower gardens that she tended with her mother. She traveled abroad every summer with her family, touring European gardens and museums. At age 4, using simple crayons, Margaret made greeting cards for her parents and grandparents. As an 8-year-old, while accompanying her mother on a visit to an Austrian spa, she gathered and pressed wild flowers. Using the pressed flowers, she created homemade cards.
