February 23: Dollars for Scholars of Indian River County will host its 3rd annual Tie-Bration at Northern Trust Bank from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Proceeds from the event benefit scholarships for Indian River County students.
The celebration recognizes the late board member and educator Darby Gibbons, who was known for his unique tie collection and embraced the organization's mission to help young people find a better future through education. The evening includes cocktails and hors d'oeuvres, and the testimonial speaker is 2011 scholarship recipient Elizabeth Sockol. Guests are encouraged to wear a unique tie in Darby's honor.
