Owner of Enviro-Medics John King
John King has launched an environmentally friendly land-clearing business, Enviro-Medics, on 33rd Avenue.
Enviro-Medics uses a custom-made mulching drum on the front of a CAT skid steer track machine to cut down underbrush, trees, shrubs, palmettos and invasive species, such as Brazilian pepper trees. The earth and nearby landscape goes undisturbed because of the machine’s low ground pressure. The debris is immediately turned into mulch and there are no hauling or dumping fees, excess labor or heavy equipment costs to pay.
John is a local firefighter and paramedic who owned a debris-removal and hauling company for three years before starting Enviro-Medics, which is located at 510 33rd Avenue. Hours are Monday through Saturday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. 633-1939. www.enviro-medics.com.
