New Look For A Fido-Friendly House

One look was all it took for the couple from Maryland to know that the John’s Island home would suit their seasonal-stay needs perfectly. With furnishings included in the sale, all they had to do was unlock the front door, settle in and enjoy spending time in the warmth of the sun while snowdrifts and icicles formed on their farm up north.

Things couldn’t have been better.

Yet, as the years passed and their time spent in Vero Beach stretched longer, the husband and wife realized a few changes were in order. The most pressing issue was that a large home had recently been built on the lot across the street blocking what had been a panoramic view of the Indian River Lagoon. Of course, any structural alterations would have to be Fido-friendly as Easton, Friday and Aggie, the family’s three retrievers, rule the roost.
