Healthy Start Half-Marathon

October 15:  Hundreds of runners took part in the Beachside Half-Marathon and 10K to benefit Indian River County Healthy Start Coalition. Participants were rewarded with a pancake breakfast and health fair after the race.

The half-marathon overall male champion was Robert Lasalle with a time of 1:23 and male masters champion was Giorgio Res with a time of 1:33. The overall female champion was Sarah Shepard with a time of 1:28 and female masters winner was Heather Gollnick at 1:32.

The 10K race overall male champion was Christopher Eastwood with a time of 44 minutes and male masters champion was Mark Satterlee at 50 minutes. Female overall champion was Bobbie Harrell with a time of 52 minutes and Michelle Stern was the female masters champion with a time of 55 minutes.
