One of the things I have missed the most since moving here from England is fast access to a good Indian meal. Colonization and the resulting Indian diaspora led to an abundance of fine Indian stores and restaurants popping up in almost every town and village throughout the British Isles. A good masala or tasty samosa was never very hard to find.

So recently, knowing my penchant for Indian curry, a friend introduced me to Urvi Upadhyay, a Vero Beach resident whose passion for cooking can only be described as infectious. With an effusive enthusiasm and innate ability to share her culinary skills, an afternoon spent in Urvi’s kitchen is this foodie’s idea of nirvana.
