The Mandarin Opens On Miracle Mile

Joey and Winncy Schlitt, along with Tom and Anna Ngai, recently opened The Mandarin, an upscale Asian restaurant on 21st St. in the former location of Carmel’s.

The restaurant features Chinese dishes including Cantonese and Szechuan favorites, Thai dishes, chow mein, sushi, sashimi and a variety of rolls. All dishes are made fresh and by hand including the sauces and egg rolls. Chef Tom Ngai has 40 years of experience in the industry and spent the last 30 years in Palm Beach as head chef and owner of another restaurant.

The Mandarin is located at 398 21st St. Lunch and dinner are served Monday through Thursday 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. and Friday and Saturday 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. 257-5166.
